ASSESSMENT & PROMOTION GUIDELINES

Mary Matha School
  • Assessment Pattern: The school follows an evaluation system consisting of two Unit Tests and two Term Exams. Parents are encouraged to closely monitor their child's performance in tests and examinations and, if needed, meet the Principal, subject teacher, or Class Teacher for guidance.
  • Performance-Based Promotion: Students must maintain a minimum of 90% attendance and demonstrate consistent academic performance to qualify for promotion. The Principal reserves the right to require the withdrawal of any student whose behaviour or academic progress remains unsatisfactory despite multiple interventions.
  • Counselling Services: The school provides access to a paediatric counsellor. Parents may avail of counselling services for both academic and non-academic concerns with the Principal's approval.
  • Exam Integrity: Any form of malpractice during examinations will result in disqualification or dismissal as per school regulations.
  • Parent Involvement: Parents must review progress reports regularly and take necessary corrective measures. Attendance at Open House is mandatory for both parents and students, who must be dressed in the school uniform. Clicking photographs of answer sheets during Open House is strictly prohibited.
