Welcome to Mary Matha School
Mary Matha School is a Catholic, Christian, unaided and recognized Minority Educational Institution. It is one of the undertakings of Sangli Mission Society (vide Reg.No. F/3827). It imparts education to students irrespective of their sex, caste, creed and religion to strengthen their religious, inter-communal and inter-cultural ties among the students so that they learn to respect all religions and cultures in our country and strive to achieve 'Unity in Diversity' as part of God's humanity.
History :
Mary Matha School was started in June 2002 as a kindergarten run in a room built on the top Mary Matha Church, Kalambaste, and Rev. MSMI Sisters taught there. In 2002 MST decided to invest the money from Communion in educational apostolate.

Accordingly, in 2003 Sangli Mission handed over this kindergarten to MST to start a school. It is situated at a land that the mission got on lease from MIDC in the area called Kherdi. Thus, this school, though run by the Sangli Mission, is owned by the Missionary Society of St. Thomas the Apostle. The sisters of MSMI Congregation helped in the school. Mary Matha School offered commendable relief service to the locality during the floods in 2005 and 2021 in Chiplun area. Currently Rev. Sisters of SOLS congregation from Kerala render their helping hands in the school.
